Garrett is Counsel in SEB’s Litigation Practice.
Garrett is a litigator with over ten years of experience on a variety of cases in New York, Michigan, Florida, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Garrett has practiced in both state and federal courts, has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various types of litigation.
Garrett has extensive experience representing clients in complex business litigation matters, focusing on real estate, construction and commercial disputes. Garrett also has significant experience in a variety of commercial and complex tort litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, professional liability, construction liability and defect, products liability, general liability, and premises liability. Garrett has also begun to develop a financial services practice that focuses on the representation of electronic transaction businesses such as payment processors and independent sales organizations (“ISOs”) regarding a wide variety of issues in the payment systems industry. Finally, Garrett also has experience reviewing, negotiating, drafting and litigating a variety of complex contracts.
During law school, Garrett participated in two separate semester long judicial externships for both a state court and federal court judge. He was also on the board of the Journal of Medicine and Law and was selected to participate in the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. Prior to joining the firm, Garrett was a litigation associate in the Boston office of a full-service national law firm.
