Matt is an associate in the Commercial Real Estate practice. Matt represents and advises clients in connection with a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial office, retail, warehouse and industrial properties.
Matt received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Matt served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law in his second year and was chosen to serve on the Executive Board as Senior Notes Editor during his third year. Matt’s note, “Toward a United Ireland? The Northern Ireland Peace Process and the Devolution of Powers from London to Belfast”, 39 Ga. J. Int’l & Comp. L. 241 (2010) was published in the Journal. Matt was the President of the Class of 2011, delivering the commencement address at the School of Law graduation ceremony.
Matt received his B.S. from Georgia Southern University, graduating magna cum laude from the University Honors Program, majoring in Justice Studies, and minoring in History and Political Science.
Prior to joining SEB, Matt practiced residential and commercial real estate law at a mid-sized firm in Atlanta. Matt gained extensive experience with commercial and residential real estate, including drafting and revising contracts, leasing, real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant disputes. Prior to that, Matt practiced commercial litigation representing corporate clients nationwide. Matt also gained second-chair trial experience in Fulton County Superior Court.
Matt is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Georgia and the Northern District of Georgia
