Kate is an associate in SEB’s Commercial Real Estate practice. Kate focuses her practice in the areas of retail, industrial, and office leasing, as well as commercial real estate financing, acquisition, disposition and development.
Prior to joining SEB, Kate worked as a real estate associate with an international law firm in their Los Angeles office, where she represented private equity funds, investment firms and real estate operators in the acquisition, disposition and management of industrial, office and multi-family real estate assets. After relocating to her hometown of Atlanta, Kate joined the real estate finance and capital markets group of a regional law firm, where she represented commercial banks and other lending institutions in the origination of senior mortgage and mezzanine loans.
Kate received her J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles where she graduated Cum Laude and was initiated into the Order of the Coif. Kate was also a member of St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, a Sayre MacNeil Scholar, Technical Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, and the Vice President of the Women’s Law Association. While in law school, Kate served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Stuart M. Rice of the Superior Court of Los Angeles and to the Honorable Judge Christina A. Snyder of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Kate was also a participant in Loyola’s Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, where she assisted pro bono clients in preparing and filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions.
